Affected by global economic slowdown and euro debt crisis, the German engineering machinery has not been well since last year. GEA, for instance, a famous German machinery manufacturer is deeply influenced; according to data, its order income in the second quarter got a slight fall, which is also reflected in Asian business.

Its order income in the second quarter is lower than expected value by 4.2%, which is 1.4billion dollars. Orders from Asia descends by 18%, and orders from west Europe and North America drop 6% and 20% respectively. However, Geo still got a 9% rise of order value in the first half year thanks to a positive increase at the beginning of 2012.

All in all, Geo made its operation value raised by 3.1% up to 1.4 billion euro in the second quarter due to enough orders from the beginning of the year, with Earnings before Interest and Tax the increasing up to 41%, 1120 million euro. In 2012, its turnover raise by 11% in the first half year, exceeding its expected 5% rise.
