As for the causes for excessively hot bearing of crusher machine, there may be following aspects:
1. Bearing clearance is too small, resulting in high temperature of bearing.
2. Lubricants with too low or high viscosity can lead to the rise of bearing temperature. Especially when the lubricating oil is too viscous, it will increase the internal friction among the oil molecules; besides, the friction between oil and metal will also be increased, which may cause much heat.
3. Oil quantity reaches or exceeds the bottom ball or the roller center, which produces much heat in the process of constant stirring.
4. The cooling area of crusher shell is insufficient, so the heat cannot be distributed in time, resulting in high temperature of bearing.
Solutions for reducing temperature of hammer crusher bearing
1. Adjust the bearing clearance to meet the requirements.
2. Align the coaxial degree of crusher motor and rotor. Use the level to find the horizontal line of motor rotor and crusher rotor along the bearing journal, rotor flywheel and bearing outer race and then check with the connecting pipe; adopt the cable hanging hammer method to review the straightness of the motor and the crusher centerline till it meets specific requirements.
3. Remove a few rubber plates from the rubber coupling so that the deformation can be timely absorbed by the rubber sheet, reducing the friction of rotor shaft in the bearing.
4. Select proper type of lubricants and ensure the oil loading is reasonable. Keep the oil quantity below the center line of the bottom roller.
Just like human beings, once the temperature of hammer crusher bearing exceeds normal range, it indicates the machine is suffering a failure. It reminds us to carry out proper adjustment and maintenance for the hammer crusher in the use.
