Mining belt conveyor, also known as conveyor belt, is mainly used for conveying the materials in a stone crusher plant. Compared with other transport equipment, it has the advantages of long-distance transport, large processing capability, continuous and stable operation. Moreover, the belt conveyor can be controlled in an intelligent and centralized manner. Due to its important role for the whole stone crushing line, the customer should consider the following factors before purchase of a belt conveyor system.

1. Working Environment

Local working environment matters for the equipment. If local temperature is low, the belt conveyor shall have strong capability to resist cold, on the contrary, if the temperature is high, it shall adapt to hot weather; besides, if working in the open air instead of inside space, the conveyor shall be wearable enough to resist the impact from the sun and rain.

2. Conveyor Power   

In the stone production process, the conveyor capacity is required to be slightly larger than that required by the production. In case a single set of belt conveyor can not reach the required capacity, the customer may consider add more sets for paralleled transport or select the one with larger power.  

3. Transport Capacity

The transport capacity of belt conveyor shall be consistent with the expected production capacity of a stone crusher plant so as to ensure smooth operation of the machine.  

4. Conveying Height and Length

Consider height and length of the conveyor. Both of the two parameters shall be (generally 0.5m) larger than the requirements. The relay conveyor should also meet the margin requirements.

5. Belt Material

Belt is important component and consumable for the conveyor. The selected belt should adapt to the characteristics of the transport material and the working environment. Otherwise it will reduce the capacity and service life of the conveyor.

6. Conveying Speed 

Belt speed is the main influential factor of productivity. The equipment with larger speed will have higher capacity, but the speed is also limited by the nature of transport material. It’s advised the customer consult corresponding manufacturer for the adjustment of belt speed. 

7.The Strength of Manufacturer 

The belt conveyor manufacturers with rich experience and long history generally have a mature system in the aspects of R&D and manufacturing. The product from branded manufacturer often has reliable performance and reasonable price.

8. After-sales Service

The customers shall also consider whether the belt conveyor manufacturers have perfect after-sales service. Belt conveyor belongs to large mining equipment; its failures are unavoidable during the operation, so it is important to select the manufacturer offering improved after-sale service.
