Common Failures and Solutions for Hammer Crusher

Hammer crusher is generally applied as primary or secondary crushing equipment in a crushing line. With simple structure, high reduction ratio and large capacity, it is widely used for crushing the materials with middle hardness and brittle quality in mining, cement, coal, metallurgy, building materials, roads and other industries. However, the failures are inevitable during the operation of hammer crusher, which will affect the service life and efficiency of the machine and parts. 1.Crusher bearing is overheated
Causes: too much or little grease; grease is fouling; bearing is damaged.
Solutions: fill appropriate amount of grease; bearing grease should be 50% of its space volume; clean bearings; replace grease and bearing.
2.Vibration amplitude is large 
Causes: the static balance of rotor does not meet the requirements due to replacement of hammers or serious abrasion of hammers; the pin is bended or broken; triangular disc or disc cracks; the anchor bolts are loose.
Solution: choose the hammer with appropriate weight so that the total weight of hammers on each shaft hammer is equal to that of its relative shaft, meeting the static balance; replace or repair the hammer and pin; fasten the anchor bolts.
3.Percussion sound is generated inside the machine
Causes: foreign materials enter into the machine; liner fasteners get loose, hammer impacts the liner; hammer or other parts are broken.
Solutions: stop the machine and clean up the crushing chamber; check the tightening of the liner and the gap between the hammer and the screen; replace the broken parts.
4.Elastic coupling produces percussion
Causes: loose pin; worn-out elastic ring;
Solutions: stop and tighten the pin nuts; replace the elastic ring.
5.Oversized discharge materials
Causes: seriously worn hammers; broken sieve bar. 
Solutions: Replace the hammers or the sieve bar.
6.Reduced production capacity
Causes: plugging of the screen bar; uneven feeding.
Solutions: stop the machine, clean up the cracks in the screen bar; adjust the feeding mechanism.
