During operation of mining vibrating screen, the sieve surface may be clogged by the raw material with various characteristics and quality. Before we share the anti-clogging solutions, it is necessary to know the common causes for the clogging.  

Analysis for Plugging of Vibrating Screen 

1. The raw materials contain a large number of particles with the size close to the sieve mesh;

2. Much water is contained in the raw materials;

3. The materials are spherical particles or have multi-contact points with the sieve;

4. Static electricity will occur;

5. Materials contain many fibers and flakes;

6. Weaving sieve wire is thick;

7. The vibrating screen with thick rubber sieve has unreasonably-designed holes, causing the particles to be easily stuck. 

Solutions for Clogging of Vibrating Screen

1. To increase the exciting force may lead the united materials to suffer a second shattering, which facilitate rapid separation; 

2. Dehydration: much water may cause the materials to unite. It is advised to first dry the materials before the screening process. 

3. Installation of ground line: since the static electricity will occur out of mutual friction among the materials, it may affect the screening efficiency. To fix such problem, the user can install the ground wire in the screen frame so as to introduce the static electricity to the ground; 

4. Ultrasonic device can effectively solve the clogging of the screen. Trough high-frequency low-amplitude ultrasonic vibration wave formed on the screen surface, the materials may suspend on the surface at low altitude so as to prevent clogging.  

5. If the water content is more than 5%, it’s advised to dry the materials prior to the screening or select appropriate screen sieve and mesh. 

6. Reasonably adjust the screen tension. With suitable tension, the screen surface will produce a slight secondary vibration against the support beam.
